Asambhav is a story based on re- incarnation. The story begins with the engagement of Adinath Shastri and Sulekha. Due to unavoidable circumstances, Adinath ends up marrying Shubhra. Sulekha is hurt and vows to take revenge by destroying the Shastri family.
Shubhra keeps getting visions but cannot understand their meaning. With the help of Dr Samant, Shubhra realizes that she is the re-incarnation of Parvati. Her husband Adinath was married to her in her previous birth too and his name was Mahadev. Sulekha was called Indumati in her previous birth. Indumati had tried to grab the wealth of the Shastri family and Parvati had tried to stop her from doing so.
The three lead characters continue their mission in this birth too. Adinath and Shubhra try to save the Shastri family from Sulekha. As the mission unfolds, many secrets of the past are unveiled.
Will this fight between the good and evil continue or will it end in this life? We have to keep watching Asambhav to find out ;-)
About Sunil's Character :
Sunil Barve as Dr. Viraj Samant is a psychiatrist by profession. He is married to his college love Tanishka , now an advocate. After their daughter Pihu’s birth Tanishka’s strange meditation practices on their daughter becomes a point of heated arguments between them & eventually results in their separation.
As a psychiatrist who is treating Shubhra, Dr. Samant becomes the catalyst for making her aware of her past birth as Parvati. In this process he too starts getting visions about his past birth as Shrirang Ranade & his connections to the Shastri family at that time. Meanwhile, Tanishka is helping the hurt Sulekha to master her psychic skills to accomplish her revenge on the Shastri family.
His past birth as Shrirang Ranade is that of a happy go lucky person who is a good friend of Mahadev Shastri & works for the Britishers. He is also a photographer by hobby.
Sunil Barve has used certain mannerisms & made subtle changes in his looks n style to distinguish between the two characters. He rendered a deep tone to his voice for portraying the mature & sophisticated image of a seasoned psychiatrist. He adopted the attire of an English Man complete with a beret(cap) and a scarf to suit the elite gentleman of the olden days. He is also wearing colored contacts & rimless glasses for a more subtle distinction.
